MOVING AROUND BIAS
An almost archaic term used by studio engineers in the 70's when threading a reel through a tape machine. It calls back to a time when musicians packed into smoky studios with stained leather couches to make records, not just singles. When stories were trapped on tape and pressed on vinyl - an audio drama told in two 22 minute episodes: Side A and Side B.
However, the double meaning is not lost on us. In our current climate, when our perception of each other and perspective of an issue can become so devicive, overcoming the obstacle of bias is critical. This isn't a political record. It's not meant to sway you to one side of an argument or another. It was simply made in the spirit of telling a story and creating a community. Because in the end, we are all standing on Common Ground and music, regardless of the lyric or tune, is our anthem.
